Strengthening Climate Adaptation and Resilience (SAR) Project 

The project SAR has the objective to improve the prerequisites for climate change adaptation and climate risk management in certain areas of Pakistan. The development of climate risk assessments will set the ground for new planning and financing instruments dealing with climate risk management at provincial level, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective implementation of the financial management, and procedures in accordance with GIZ (PuR) as well as specific standards procedures defined by GIZ Pakistan or the program
  • Dealing with all questions arising in the area of finance, accounting, from country office and HQ
  • Coordinates the finance of the project
  • Supports the Senior Admin & Finance Officer and Head of Project in preparation of budgets, financial documents, reports, milestone planning and operational planning
  • Collaborates effectively with the technical team members for event preparation and management (e.g., trainings, workshops, seminars, etc.) 
  • Checks vouchers, invoices, job requests
  • Implements and disseminates new policies, rules/regulations, and guidelines, etc. relating to administrative and financial procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in relevant specialisation in business administration is desirable (equivalent of MBA)
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in a comparable position
  • Experience with an international working environment
